My grandmother was from Belgium, born to a Van den Bergh family who left her husband, whose passion was beer, and managed to raise her three daughters alone. To do this, my great-grandmother began working in a prestigious restaurant in Brussels. I think it's very brave and strong to take this path.
When we search for ourselves, we often come across our roots. In my family history, I find strong women who, despite their own challenges and obstacles in life, courageously followed their own path, were able to free themselves from difficult situations, or gave their daughters what they needed to become brave.

I, too, have discovered women in my family history who followed their path with strength, courage, and determination, despite the obstacles that stood in their way. I believe that the stories of our ancestors are not just part of our past. They live on within us. They exist within us, weaving themselves into our decisions and actions, often without us consciously noticing.
What does this mean for me?
The stories of my grandmother and my ancestors are a foundation upon which I shape my own life. Their strength, courage, and creativity are a thread that I continue to spin. Into my own story, into my own creative power and femininity.
