How it all began – The story of MIO ANIMO

I was fascinated by fashion from an early age, influenced by my mother's boutique for kids. I probably inherited my sense of beauty from my Belgian grandmother, and my grandfather's visual passion as a photographer shaped my own creativity. This mix of influences and enthusiasm led me to found MIO ANIMO in 2002 and bring my own designs to market.

2015 was a big moment for me: I opened my first store, a store for my label, in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg. Here, I was able to realize my creative vision and create a place where fashion and craftsmanship go hand in hand. A few years later, the NOVeL Concept Store was added, where I present other sustainable products alongside my own collections. MIO ANIMO remains true to my original dream: to create fashion that speaks to your soul and makes your self-confidence shine.


Our Principle – MADE-TO-ORDER

Our goal is to avoid overproduction, and therefore we decided to only produce most garments after receiving an order. This is what we call MADE-TO-ORDER. Of course, you have the same right of return for MADE-TO-ORDER items as for items available for immediate delivery. However, we also produce a selection of many models and sizes for our NOVeL Store, so you can look around, try them on, and take them home with you.


Longer DELIVERY TIME at MIO ANIMO

Depending on the volume of orders, it may take a little longer. We strive to regularly adjust the delivery times in our online shop and inform you in advance. However, this is very individual, and depending on the process, it can sometimes be faster or take longer. However, it usually takes between 5 and 12 business days for an order to be sewn. That much is certain. We always strive not to keep you waiting too long. If you would like to receive other items from your order that are not from MIO ANIMO sooner, please contact us. ```


Why there is sometimes a PRE-ORDER

We often offer you a PRE-ORDER for individual products before the launch of a new collection to avoid overproduction and to gauge actual demand. After your orders, we order the fabrics and get a better idea of ​​which designs you like best. For a PRE-ORDER, the delivery time is usually 7-10 weeks – but anticipation is, as we all know, the greatest joy, because we believe that waiting for a piece somehow makes the consumption process even more appealing, and you can really delve into the story of how a piece of clothing came into being.

CUSTOM MADE

In our online shop, you'll find a separate option for custom made items in the MIO ANIMO category - there you'll see your options and the corresponding additional costs. For example, you have the option of having a custom length made. Whether it's a dress, pants, skirt, or blouse. We charge a surcharge of €20 for longer lengths, and no charge for shorter lengths. If you choose a custom made item, we recommend consulting beforehand. There are also various minor alterations possible, such as choosing a long sleeve for the COCOU DRESS or adding a few pompoms to a muslin scarf. ``` Please note: If the item is custom-made, it cannot be returned or exchanged.
