Fresh Vibes
Effect: The native real sage helps us let go of the old and brings new energies. This medicinal plant has been used and valued for centuries, both in herbal medicine and for burning incense. For greater clarity and harmony. Perfect for cleansing rooms, objects, and thoughts. Hello fresh vibes!
The Latin name of common sage (Salvia officinalis) is derived from the word salvare, which means "to heal" and reflects the high esteem in which the plant has always been held. The medicinal plant's essential oils have antibacterial and, to some extent, antiviral effects. The medicinal plant's more than 60 ingredients combine the healing effects of rosemary, eucalyptus, tea tree oil, wormwood, and thula.
Honourish sage from Germany
Smudging sage has become increasingly popular in recent years. Unfortunately, the leaves of white sage are usually used in so-called "sage smudge sticks." These often come from Mexico or the southwestern United States and travel very long distances before reaching us. Often, little is revealed about their origin and cultivation.
Since these are not food products, the use of pesticides is not monitored. We always felt it was absurd to want to purify oneself and the air in one's room, but at the same time release chemical residues. That's why we only use organic raw materials, which we would also use to make tea. Why import a plant when we have the powerful sage right on our doorstep?
We produce sage incense bundles from high-quality, organic sage from Germany. For this purpose, we have partnered with a fantastic herbal farm in southern Germany. Five experienced herbalists harvested, dried, and bundled the sage.
Smudging Ritual
Smudging is one of the oldest rituals in human history. On every continent and throughout history, people have used the burning of plant parts to create specific effects and emotions. Incense burning was part of everyday rituals but was also associated with special celebrations, life events, or annual festivals.
How do I burn incense? Light the incense bundle at the tip, let it burn for a while, and then blow out the flame. This will form embers. You keep the embers alive by supplying air—for example, gently swirling it in the air or blowing it out. To extinguish the flame, place it in sand or let it burn out. Now ventilate thoroughly and let new energies in. With one bundle, you can burn incense about 30 times.
What else do I need? You can use a fireproof bowl or plate to prevent the ash from falling to the floor. Take at least five minutes of downtime before and after burning incense to fully concentrate on your ritual.
How does it work? Science shows us that the scent molecules from the smoke travel directly through the nose to our limbic system. It is the oldest part of our brain and controls our emotions. This rudimentary part awakens our memories and manages our autonomic nervous system. Thus, the scent of the smoke alone influences our entire body.
Ingredients and Notes
Genuine sage from organic cultivation. Harvested by hand on a small organic farm in southern Germany, bundled, and gently dried.
Note: High temperatures are generated during burning. Please use fireproof surfaces and do not leave the incense unattended. The smoke can irritate the respiratory tract and eyes. Pay particular attention to small children and animals. If you smoke, you do so at your own risk. We assume no liability.
