About yiayia and friends
Yiayia and Friends is a multifaceted gastronomic project that reinterprets and reintroduces high-quality food products, culinary objects, and gourmet artifacts of yesteryear. At the center of the design project is "Yiayia" (Grandma in Greek) who plays an important role as an all-powerful, all-knowing, yet down-to-earth character. Through her and her friends from the human and animal kingdoms, the arts of growing, cooking, and exchanging food, along with everything associated with these activities, are remembered, reinterpreted, and reimagined for new generations.
